What this place is

Borgo La Pietraia is a small, family-owned resort in Paestum, just south of the Amalfi Coast in a region called Cilento. It’s a place suspended between mountains and sea, with a fantastic restaurant and sweeping views. From here, guests can explore both the Cilento Coast and the Amalfi Coast, or simply disappear into small villages where traditional Italian foodways are alive and well.

This is my home base in Southern Italy, the place where my family has lived for centuries, and where I host multi-day creative workshops.

Stays and private itineraries

Borgo La Pietraia is also where many of my private itineraries begin or end. Couples often come here after time in Rome or Naples—or after time in the busier parts of the Amalfi Coast—to experience a more local, authentic Italy, with visits to Paestum’s temples, Pompeii, protected beaches, the Blue Grotto, and small villages.

With just 12 suites (a maximum of 24 guests) and my family on site, it works beautifully for multi-generational trips: grandparents, parents, and kids all on one enclosed property, with the ease of an excellent restaurant and an in-house planner who can arrange everything. That might mean cooking classes, boat rides along the Cilento coast, wine tastings at local vineyards, or simply long afternoons by the pool while children roam safely between the gardens, walking path, and outdoor pizza oven—where we can even organize small, kid-friendly parties.

Weddings & Celebrations

The Borgo is the perfect place to host a small wedding or celebration. We'll collaborate with our network of wedding and party planners. We can also design a week of activities for your guests, with hosts and drivers so everyone can relax and enjoy the experience.
